    Abstract:
Abstract. This article asks how the resurrected human being can be numerically identical with the worldly agent while that person’s condition changes across two realms. It reconstructs the sequence of ʿAllāmah Ṭabāṭabāʾī’s argument from immediate self-awareness to the eschatological disclosure of character. Using a descriptive-analytical method and intratextual comparison of exegetical materials, the study first distinguishes personal identity from character. It then connects the unity of the subject, tawaffī as the complete taking of the person, the continuity of soul and body in “a new creation,” and the distinction between human identity and bodily similarity. The findings show that the numerically identical soul preserves the agent, while the body remains a real dimension of human life and the field in which cognition, intention, action, habit, and shākilah form character. Death closes direct worldly acquisition without destroying the person or the effects of action. In the hereafter, unveiled awareness, the presence of deeds, and bodily testimony disclose the history of that same agent. This account integrates persistence, embodiment, moral responsibility, and the difference between the two realms.
